The Christmas Shoes
Two separate stories are intertwined - in the first, a young music teacher named Maggie Andrews is diagnosed with a heart condition and her son Nathan tries to get her a pair of Christmas shoes before she passes away. In the second, a young music teacher named Nathan tries to get his mother a pair of Christmas shoes before she passes away. It is revealed in the second episode that lawyer Robert Layton and his wife Kate are gradually becoming estranged, and the situation comes to a climax over the Christmas season when Kate takes over for Maggie in the school chorus.
