Pio Amato, a 14-year-old member of a small Romani community in the Calabrian town of Gioia Tauro, is eager to mature. Pio follows his older brother Cosimo everywhere, learning how to hustle and navigate the streets of his hometown from him. Pio sets out one night to prove to his brother that he is as good as or better than him, but when things go wrong, a chain of events occurs that will forever change the way he sees the world.
