Hannes, a ten-year-old boy living up with his young, poor, and single mother, aspires to join the Vorstadtkrokodile, the coolest gang in town. When the 'entrance exam' fails, Hannes is saved by Kai, who is also keen to join but is wheelchair bound and unable to flee when things become heated. Hannes would accept Kai, but the rest of the group isn't too keen on having a crippled member. Kai has finally come up with a solution. A business is robbed one night, and Kai uses his telescope to spot the culprits. This is his chance to provide crucial information to the Crocodiles, who are attempting to apprehend the robbers and collect the € 1000 prize. The Crocodiles will embark on a large and risky trip with their new member.
