The Drover's Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson
After her husband leaves to go droving sheep in the high country of Australia in 1893, pregnant Molly Johnson and her children are left to fend for themselves in the harsh environment. She comes upon Yakada, an Aboriginal fugitive in chains, on her property one day, and he is hurt. As an improbable romance blossoms between them, he opens up about her hidden past. Molly's husband has been gone for some time, and when new town sheriff Nate Clintoff learns of this, he becomes suspicious and sends his constable to investigate.
