Engineer Bill Markham has been searching for his son Tommy, who went missing from the edge of the Brazilian rainforest, for ten years. He miraculously discovers the boy among the Amazon tribe that adopted him. Bill's adventure truly begins at that point. Because his son is now an adult tribesman who moves deftly through this beautiful but dangerous terrain, fearing only those who would exploit it. And, as Bill tries to "rescue" him from the untamed jungle's savagery, Tommy challenges Bill's notions of true civilization and who needs to be rescued.
