Kentaro Saeki (Haruma Miura) is a young man who constantly failing his legal exam and is at a loss. Keiko, his older sister, is a writer who works as a freelancer. Kentaro and Keiko began their search for information on their grandfather Kyuzo Miyabe (Junichi Okada), who was killed in World War II while serving in the special forces. Kyuzo Miyabe, their grandfather, was death-afraid and life-obsessed. He joined the special forces for a reason. Kyuzo Miyabe was a prodigy as well as a coward, according to his navy colleagues.
