Harum is a fearless man of the people who comes to Bagdad to avenge his father's murder and meets Krairuzan, a princess disguised as a commoner who is working against a plot by a group of evil schemers to depose her father, the Caliph. She bestows upon Harum a golden sword that renders him invincible in his hands. Harum wields the sword in the name of justice and is doing well until a duplicate sword is placed in his scabbard during one of his off-guard moments, and he ends up in chains.
