Jake, the solitary survivor of the carnage in The Grudge 2, is hospitalized due to terrifying visions of Kayako and Toshio. Dr. Sullivan, Jake's caregiver, is determined to examine his frightening tales. She investigates his Chicago residence and discovers another family on the verge of falling to the curse. It becomes evident that Jake's terrible tales are true, and a strange Japanese woman may be the last possibility of permanently banishing the ghosts, unless her plan destroys them.
