After less than a year of marriage, a prominent actor and his equally renowned actress wife are already experiencing marital pressure. The actor is convinced that his wife is capable of infidelity and sets out to establish this. By posing as the type of man she fancies (a Russian military officer), the actor woos his wife while she believes he (her husband) is out of town.
