The Handmaiden

During the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1930s, a young woman is hired as a handmaiden for a Japanese heiress who lives alone with her bossy uncle on a large country estate. But the maid has a secret: she is a pickpocket hired by a con man pretending to be a Japanese count to help him get the heiress to run away with him, rob her of her money, and lock her up in a madhouse. The plan seems to go as planned until the women feel some feelings they didn't expect.
