The Harder They Come

Ivanhoe Martin moves to Kingston, Jamaica, in search of work. After some difficulties, he gets a recording contract as a reggae singer. Before long, he has recorded his first song, "The Harder They Come," and soon finds himself taking part in small-time crimes to pay the bills. He sells marijuana, kills some bad cops, and becomes a hero in his town. Meanwhile, his record is at the top of the charts.
