After being rescued from the desert by a caravan, Seetha and Harold Berger are escorted to a little settlement. Gnastfully revealing where they are staying to Prince Ramigani is the owner of the house where they are staying. Ramigani and his henchmen pursue and grab the couple as they try to flee. Maharaja Chandra may not be speaking the truth about Harold's future, according to Irene Rhode and Walter Rhode. Confederate Ramigani coerces Seetha into accepting Chandra's marriage proposal in order to enrage the priests and enlist Prince Padhu and his troops in his cause. During this time, Harold manages to get out of the dungeon and goes to Seetha's aid.
