The King's Speech

The King's Speech chronicles the life of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II's father. George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the kingdom after his brother abdicates. Bertie, who suffers from a terrible stammer and is deemed unsuitable to rule, seeks the help of Lionel Logue, an unconventional speech therapist. Bertie is able to find his voice and courageously lead the country into war thanks to a set of surprising skills and an odd friendship.
