The Lost Valentine

The story she uncovers will alter the course of her entire career as a young, cynical female journalist. At LA Union Train Station on their wedding anniversary on February 14, 1944 a Navy pilot promises to return to the train station safe for their next anniversary if the war continues. Despite her husband's absence, Caroline Thomas has waited at the railway station for 60 years for him to return with the "lost valentine." The underlying theme is that love and romance can exist in the real world and that they are worth fighting for, if necessary.
