In1942, while the Third Reich was at the height of its power, the Czech resistance in London hatched the idea for what would become the most audacious military operation of World War II: Anthropoid. Reinhard Heydrich was the most vicious of the Nazi leaders, and two young recruits were dispatched to Prague with the mission of eliminating him. Heydrich was the chief of the SS and the Gestapo, and he was also the architect of the Final Solution.
