Jerry Welbach, a reluctant bagman, has received two ultimatums: the first, from his mob boss, is to travel to Mexico and retrieve a rare antique weapon known as "the Mexican"... or face the consequences. The second is from his lover Samantha, who wants him to sever his ties to the mob. Jerry concludes that being alive and in trouble with Samantha is preferable to the alternative, so he heads south of the border.
