Three individuals claim to be skin-walkers, vampires, and demons, and when aspiring horror filmmakers post an online casting call looking for "real life" monsters to interview for their upcoming documentary, The Monster Project, they receive responses from three different people claiming to be each of these monsters. Meeting these monsters in an isolated mansion in the woods on the night of a total lunar eclipse, the filmmakers encourage the three subjects to share their harrowing, personal experiences with the rest of the audience. A recovering drug addict who suffers from withdrawal and paranoia is employed on the crew. As a believer, he is concerned that his comrades are underestimating the dark forces they are summoning. When the interviews turn deadly, he must combat the demons both within and outside the house in order to escape and prevent the emergence of evil incarnate from taking hold of the country.
