When famed hunter Bob Rainsford is shipwrecked on a strange island's hazardous reefs, he becomes the guest of the reclusive and eccentric Count Zaroff. While initially cordial, Zaroff eventually compels Rainsford and two other shipwreck survivors, Eve and Martin Towbridge, to play in a sadistic game of cat-and-mouse in which they are the prey and he is the hunter.
