The Music Box
Sophie's estranged aunt Annabelle is appointed as her legal guardian after her sad orphanhood at age six. Sophie discovers a closed wooden box with a mysterious sign on it after moving into a vast, creepy Victorian home with her partner. Annabelle, desperate to connect with her niece, breaks through the lock to uncover a gorgeous music box. Each time the music box is rewound and re-played, its unexpectedly eerie song plays somewhat longer, entrancing Sophie even more. Annabelle gets the assistance of a child psychologist and clairvoyant when the music box begins to impair Sophie's behavior and health. They quickly determine that the music box is inhabited by an evil spirit that wishes to haunt Sophie and ruin Annabelle. As the haunting grows, time begins to run out, and Annabelle must race against the music box's melody to vanquish the ghost before the final note sounds.
