Col. Vincent Kane is a military doctor who is in charge of an army mental institution located in a remote castle. Col. Kane is married with two children. Capt. Billy Cutshaw, a disturbed astronaut in the throes of an existential crisis, is one of Kane's numerous oddball patients.
