Hubie is a shy bachelor penguin that has feelings for Marina, a lovely female penguin. Male penguins traditionally gift their intended with a pebble and then mate for life. Hubie discovers a lovely stone, but before he can give it to Marina, his ruthless adversary Drake tosses him into the roiling sea, and Hubie drowns.
