TV MX, the most prominent television corporation in Mexico, broadcasts a bombshell exposé about Governor Carmelo Vargas' involvement in significant crimes and illegal economic enterprises. As a result of his concerns about his political future, Governor Vargas plans to clean up his image by negotiating a billion-dollar covert agreement with the owners of the television corporation. Ricardo Diaz, a star reporter for a television network, and Carlos Rojo, a young news producer with ambition, are in charge of mounting an underhanded campaign to change the public's perception of the corrupt Governor and elevate him to the status of a political star and potential presidential candidate at any cost.
