The Phantom of the Opera

A man who has been malformed from birth and goes by the name "the Phantom" resides in the sewage tunnels that run underneath the Paris Opera House. He falls in love with Christine, a relatively unknown singer in the chorus, and begins providing her with private vocal instruction while simultaneously scaring the rest of the opera house and insisting that Christine be given leading roles. Things go from bad to worse when Christine catches up with Raoul, an old friend from her childhood, and the two of them begin a romantic relationship.
