Denny Burke is finally going to be done with high school, and he is very excited about it. So far, this has been a bad year for me: I broke my leg, and I broke up with my heart. The worst thing is that my home has been broken. He goes on one last rock-climbing trip with four of his best friends to show that he is ready to start his adult life. On their trip, the five teenagers get a genetic boost that they never thought possible. First thing Denny must decide as an adult is whether or not to give up his powers and stay an ordinary teenager, or keep them and become an adult.
