The Price of a Broken Heart

A true story about a pivotal judicial battle. When a woman (Park Overall) discovers that her husband has been having an open affair with his secretary (Laura Innes), she vows to marry him. The wife files for divorce and also files a lawsuit against the secretary, alleging that the secretary violated an obscure legislation on alienation of affection that was meant to protect married couples from homewreckers. This creates a new courtroom issue, as the other woman's blame must be justified, and the fault of the married partners is no longer taken into account.
