The Proposition

Set in the Australian outback in the 1880s, the film explores the events leading up to the horrible rape and murder of the Hopkins family, purportedly performed by the infamous Burns brothers gang. Captain Morris Stanley apprehends Charlie Burns and orders him nine days to kill his older dangerous psychopathic brother or else he will be hanged on Christmas Day.
