The Shootist
Beset with a life-ending disease John Bernard Brooks, the last of the famed gunfighters, secretly returns to Carson City for medical attention from his old buddy, Dr. Hostetler. Recognizing the passing of time, this disturbed man seeks consolation and tranquility in the home run by an elderly widow and her young son. It is not, however, Brooks' destiny, as he is immersed in one more courageous battle, to die in peace.
