Micky Adams (Kelsey Grammer), an eccentric has-been rock artist, loses his hold on reality as his record label looks to drop him and also his new "special" albums. In hopes of bursting out of the mailroom, young Charlie Doorperson (Jackson White) is charged with taking a trip to the artist's unusual residence and forcing Micky out of his contract. Micky understands Charlie could be the key to an artistic advancement as well as the pair's unlikely friendship expands. The weird however effective bond helps both gain perspective on the music industry, life, love ... as well as the space in between.
