The Stunt Man
Steve Railsback, who is evading capture by the authorities, takes refuge with a gang of film crew members, among whom he poses as a stunt performer. As a stuntman, he avoids both the police and an untimely death while simultaneously being assisted and endangered by the director (Peter O'Toole). The way in which the film seamlessly blends imagination with actual peril creates an engaging paradox for the audience to contemplate as they watch individual sequences.
