The Super

A cruel landlord who has neglected to maintain up his ghetto flat is threatened with jail time by Joe Pesci, who plays Louie Kritski in the film. Rather of evicting him from his home, the judge offers him the chance to live there until he improves it to the point where it can be inhabited. For 120 days, Louie meets several of his tenants, including the drug dealer Marlon, whom the judge assigns him (Ruben Blades). Throughout the course of the story, Louie's selfishness becomes more apparent to him. Due to the fact that the real owner of the land is Louie's father, Big Lou Kritski (Vincent Gardenia), Louie is unable to persuade Big Lou to spend the money to clean it up.
