The Sweeney

The Sweeney, a British police thriller from the director of Football Factory, is based on the 1970s UK television show. An old adversary of hardened officer Jack Regan (Ray Winstone) returns to test his mettle. George Carter (Ben Drew aka Plan B) and the duo are put on the investigation of a jewelry store heist that culminates in a murder. Is it actually an execution disguised as a murder? Keeping out of trouble won't be easy for Regan, what with his employer putting so much pressure on him and his relationship with his boss's wife.
