The Testament of Dr. Mabuse

After being assaulted by thugs and placed in Professor Baum's asylum, a detective notices the professor's obsession with another patient, the criminal genius Dr. Mabuse the hypnotist. When Mabuse's notes are discovered to be linked to a string of recent crimes, Commissioner Lohmann must figure out how Mabuse is communicating with the criminals, despite conflicting reports on the doctor's whereabouts, and apprehend him once and for all.
