Leon Bronstein is not your typical high school student from Montreal West. For starters, none of his contemporaries can lay claim to being the reincarnation of the early twentieth-century Soviet iconoclast and Red Army hero, Leon Trotsky, as he does. Because he is determined to live out his pre-ordained destiny to the fullest and to change the world, Leon is sent to public school as a punishment for starting a hunger strike at Papa's clothing factory. Leon quickly gives new meaning to the term'student union,' as he quickly proves to be the definition of the phrase.
