The Virgin Spring
Christian believers Töre and Märeta dispatch their only daughter, the virginal Karin, and their foster daughter, the unrepentant Ingeri, to deliver candles to a remote church. On their trek through the forest, the girls encounter a band of barbaric goat herders who raped and murdered Karin while Ingeri hid. When the murderers unknowingly take refuge in Töre and Märeta's farmhouse, Töre plots a proper vengeance.
