Don Giorgio is a young, good-looking priest and teacher in a convent. He has two lovers, Orchidea and Giulia. When he changes his mind and promises to go back to the Church, he is brutally killed. Not long after, Giulia has her throat cut. Inspector Boito falls in love with and plans to marry Orchidea, who is also the main suspect. A curious boy named Ferruccio, who is kept locked up and given drugs, seems to be the key to solving the case. He saw one of the murders, but will anyone believe his story?
