Karl Marx, 26, and his wife, Jenny, set off on a journey to exile. His investigation into the dismal origins of the British working class led him to meet Friedrich Engels in Paris in1844. They become friends and eventually work together on a book in 1845. Finally, the dandy, Engels, gives Karl Marx with the final piece of the puzzle. Together, they will guide the labor movement into the contemporary period amid censorship and police repression, riots and political upheavals.
