It is 1983, and the plot revolves around a troubled young kid growing up in England. After a brawl with a group of skinheads, he is on his way home from school when he stumbles across them. They become his new greatest friends, and in some ways, they become like family to him. Shane Meadows' personal experiences served as the basis for this film.
