Toba Tek Singh
The story takes place in one of India's oldest mental asylums right before the India-Pakistan partition. In Lahore, it housed Hindu, Muslim, and Sikh patients abandoned by their families. Patients who have no one else to talk to formed close bonds. Each had a compelling narrative to tell, but none more so than Bishan Singh.
