TRUE TO THE GAME II picks up a year after the events of the first True to the Game episode, following the lives of those affected by Quadir's death. Gena has remade herself as a journalist in NYC, separating herself from Philly's violent environment while still grieving over Quadir's loss. Gena is at a career crossroads when she discovers an opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and decides to take advantage of the opportunity to discover herself. Despite the fact that Gena is far away from home, her life in Philadelphia never fails to show up. Jerrell's shipment has been kidnapped by someone with ties to Quadir, prompting him to go on a quest to find out who did it. Jerrell is hell-bent on getting paid no matter what it takes, and he's going to start with Gena.
