Unthinkable

A person who switched to Islam sends the U.S. government a tape of himself in three unremarkable storage rooms, each of which may have a nuclear bomb set to go off in less than a week. Helen Brody, an FBI agent in L.A., is tasked with finding the bombs while a CIA "consultant" known as "H" questions the suspect who has let himself be caught. The suspect, whose wife and children have left him and gone missing, seems to know exactly what the interrogation will be like. Even when H steps up the pressure and tortures the suspect, even though Brody doesn't want to, the suspect doesn't give in. Should H do the unthinkable, and will Brody let him? Is any part of the Constitution worth a person's life?
