At the conclusion of the Chosun Dynasty, aristocratic 18th-century Korea, this film is based on the novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Younger cousin Jo-won is asked to defecate the naive young Soh-ok, whom Lady Cho intends to marry her husband's concubine. It doesn't take long for his gaze to be drawn to Lady Sook, a graceful and reserved Catholic. A decade after her husband's death, Jo-won becomes fixated with seducing the widow, who has stayed celibate for nine years. Unfortunately for Chosun, conquering the most virtuous woman in the kingdom becomes more harder than expected.
