In 1812, Napoleon's Military invades Russia. Kutuzov asks Bolkonsky to join him as a team police officer, yet the royal prince requests a command in the field. Pierre sets out to see the upcoming fight between the armies. Throughout the Fight of Borodino, he volunteers to assist in a weapons battery.
