It's a barren wasteland in rural Fulton County, Georgia, with nothing more than a few modest dwellings, a petrol station, and a garbage dump. Working at a recycling plant where Joel often comes across usable glass bottles, Joel cleans them up and brings them back to his home. Later, an unexpected phone call informs him that his ex-wife has vanished, and it is up to him to care for their son. After meeting his son for the first time, Joel has no idea how to create a relationship with Will, who similarly appears to live in his own world at the age of ten. It just so happens that Will begins to open up to his father thanks to Clara, a bright girl from the neighborhood who comes to their rescue. There's already a knock at the door from a youth welfare officer, though. The feature directorial debut of Jaron Albertin is a thoughtful, slightly sad drama about two strangers who come to understand each other deeply.
