What About Bob?

Just as Dr. Leo Marvin is about to embark on a well-deserved vacation, the self-absorbed psychiatrist is forced to accept a new patient: Bob Wiley. Bob, a paragon of neediness and a compendium of phobias, accompanies Marvin to his family's country residence, where he meets his father. Dr. Marvin tries everything he can to persuade Bob to quit; the problem is that everyone likes Bob. As his inattentive patient begins to make himself at home, Dr. Marvin begins to lose his professional composure and, before long, he may be ready to be sent to the psychiatric wards.
