Wiener-Dog
Several anecdotes are told in Wiener-Dog about people who are influenced or affected by a particular dachshund who appears to be spreading a certain kind of comfort and joy throughout the world. In the beginning, man's best friend is seen teaching a young boy some distorted life lessons before being taken in by a loving veterinarian named Dawn Wiener. Dawn reunites with a former lover and embarks on a cross-country road journey, stopping along the way to pick up several melancholy mariachi musicians. Wiener-Dog then comes across a floundering film professor, as well as a resentful elderly woman and her dependent granddaughter, all of whom are yearning for something more in their lives.
