Wild River
A young TVA field supervisor arrives in rural Tennessee to supervise the construction of a dam on the Tennessee River. Locals oppose him, particularly a farmer who protests to his paying local black employees. The eviction of an elderly woman from her home on an island in the River, and the young man's love connection with that woman's bereaved granddaughter, are central to the plot.
