Sam Bisbee is an inventor whose creations (such as a keyhole finder for drunks) have resulted in nothing but financial hardship for him. His daughter has fallen in love with the snobby citizen of the town's son. Just when he was about to achieve success, a series of unfortunate events led to the destruction of his bulletproof tire. Because one of his other creations makes it impossible for him to end his life, Sam makes the decision to carry on alive.
