Originally broadcast on Teletoon in Canada in 2004, the animated sitcom 6teen hails from that country. The series 6teen made its debut on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and the network pulled it from its lineup on May 13, 2006. Reruns of 6teen were initially broadcast on The N from December26, 2005 through July28,2006, however the show did not return to The N in its original form as a 24-hour channel until December31, 2007 and remained there until June21, 2008. After its debut on October 23, 2008, "Sixteen" was broadcast on Cartoon Network in the United States. Since it first aired on October 23, 2008, the show 6teen has had many airings each week on Cartoon Network. However, the show was taken from the schedule in the middle of November 2009. After then, it came back with regular airings in the middle of February 2010, however it was taken off the air once more after the series finale on June 21, 2010. The sixth season of "Teen Titans Go!" made a brief comeback on Cartoon Network in January2011, but it was only there for one month before being pulled along with other shows that had been canceled. It is broadcast occasionally on the Popgirl show. In the final episode of the series, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part2," an acoustic version of the theme song originally performed by Brian Melo was featured. The final season of Sixteen consisted of a total of 93 episodes. Both the United States of America and Canada have contributed to the production of DVDs and iTunes releases. Despite the fact that the show has been cancelled, creators Pertsch and McGillis have shown their openness to working on a reunion film or telemovie of up to two hours in length. The show is not presently scheduled to air on Cartoon Network at this time; however, episodes are still available to view on Cartoon Network on Demand in certain regions. On January3,2011, 6teen began airing repeats on Teletoon. The show currently airs on Saturday mornings at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and it has only just begun airing on weekdays at 7:00 p.m. EST, which was its original time slot. Additionally, the program may be seen on Netflix in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
