The series' title is derived from a statement made by NFL Films' Steve Sabol: Bill Belichick's documentary premiered on September 15, 2011, as the first episode of a six-episode series based on the life of Bill Parcells. At the time, the documentary was viewed by about 657,000 viewers, making it the NFL Network's most-watched documentary ever and the second most-watched show in Boston (behind a Red Sox game). In the end, Season One was put on DVD. The Faces of Tebow premiered on September 12th, 2012, kicking off Season 2. When Belichick's 2012 episode was nominated in 2012, the series received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Edited Sports Series/Anthology," as well as "Outstanding Promotional Announcement - Episodic."
