After the Rain
Akira Tachibana is a soft-spoken high school girl who was once a member of the track and field club but can no longer sprint as quickly as she once could owing to an accident. She finds herself suddenly falling in love with her boss, a divorced 45-year-old man with a young son, while working part-time at a family restaurant as a last resort. Despite the age difference, Akira enthusiastically embraces his idiosyncrasies and compassionate attitude, which are viewed as spinelessness by the other staff, and the two gradually come to understand one another. Akira is unable to articulate precisely why she is attracted to him, but she believes that a specific cause is unnecessary for genuine love. On a gloomy day, she resolves to tell her manager how she really feels...but what will he do?
